According to the Chronicle, Achraf Lazaar is now in talks with THREE clubs ahead of a potential move away from Newcastle United.
Lee Ryder’s latest piece confirms that Fiorentina have now shown interest in the Moroccan, with the club also receiving offers from fellow Serie A side Hellas Verona and FC Utrecht – the Dutch side currently 5th in the Eredivisie.
Considering he brought him to Sheffield Wednesday on loan in January, many wondered if Steve Bruce would give the 27-year-old a second chance on Tyneside, however he’s failed to make his 25-man squad and looks set to complete a move away in the next 7 days.
The transfer market may be closed for England’s top divisions, but the window closes on September 2nd in Italy and Holland, meaning the left-back still has 10 days to seal a seemingly imminent move away from St James’ Park.
The Chronicle don’t state whether any move will be a permanent one or another loan deal, however it would make sense for all parties if something can be agreed, with us needing to cut the wage bill and free up space on the training field after several senior players missed out on Bruce’s squad.
Hopefully a deal can be agreed, with the likes of Rolando Aarons, Jack Colback and Henri Saivet also in contention to seal loan moves over the next week.
