Game (already) On! Newcastle v Tottenham

Game On at St James' Park
Game On at St James’ Park
Good evening all, sorry I’m late. I finished work later than scheduled after battling the elements all day.

Still I’m here now and the game is already on so you should be well into the swing of things by now.

In the build up to the match I struggled to get myself up for it, mainly because our season is lacking anything to aim for. I’ve even put on a few live bets to keep myself interested in the football outside of United although now the game is here I’m feeling a bit better about things. Mind you we’ve just gone 1-0 down so here goes hey?

Team news is already out and is detailed below while streams are available so if you haven’t already got one/found one then all you need to do is ask and I’m sure someone will point you in the right direction.

It’s not ideal having nowt to play for but here we are. All we can do is try and rescue some points and see where it takes us between now and the end of the season. As ever, all of your comments are always welcome.

Howay the lads!

  1. There’s nothing we can do now to sort out the playing staff until the summer. We’ve got what we’ve got til the end of the season now, so we have to get on with it – it’s as simple as that players wise.
But for me we have to address what we can now – we have to replace JK and Willie Donachie.

It’s ironic that we complain about the club having no ambition but instead look for mid table stability – yet there is very little stability in the club at the moment. Pardew can sit in front of the cameras and tell us things aren’t as bad as they seem and blah blah – but it’s *******!.
He looks like a man dejected, totally void of ideas. He comes out with ‘we had no balance’ against Spurs and ‘back to the drawing board’ after the scum game – WE LOST ONE PLAYER!!
He and his coaching staff NEED to get their ****ing act together with the team and the board and Ashley NEED to get replacements for those who have left. There is alot of work needs doing at that club, and we can’t afford to carry vacancies.

  2. Ice I was 99% sure Remy would be away but now I am 100% certain he will, apart from the fact that he will want to go to a big club there is noway Jabba would pay the money for him and pay the wages he would want on a full time basis

  3. SHarpy it seems he has been around for years though he is still like 23. Few years back there was a load of talk of him Cavani and Suarez would be some strike force. Uruguay have some tasty options up front like.

  4. Hopefully Ashley does something right for the club in the near future. Otherwise we will continue to have a lot of trouble keeping players. I still worry about what I see on the pitch as well though. Is Pardew thinking through his tactics. Having no cover for a fullback who is taking a corner? It just seemed like madness yesterday.

  5. G2 ,I think I blew a fuse last night mate , that was a soul less can’t be ****ed performance from most players and another masterclass in how to lose a game by Pards. ๐Ÿ‘ฟ

  6. Ice as I said before it just feels like the club has no heart, even the players look ****ed off with things as well as the majority of the fans.
What does surprise me is that there is still some fans that things are going ok and its just a little blip ๐Ÿ˜†

  7. I love the way AP is all of a sudden fuming with the players for their performance levels. This is probably the 5th or 6th time this year we have put in such a depressing display, and last year it was the norm. Has he ran out of pathetic excuses?? Yet he still refuses to take the blame or criticise the rotten organisation he has helped create and is a central part of

  8. Has something changed at the club now? Donachie leaves for striking a player and won’t be replaced. Joe leaves quietly and suddenly without any real explanation. Pardew seems stressed out of his mind to me. What else could Ashley be up to?

  9. DAVE if fans are happy with 10th yr out that’s up to them,me I would rather watch a non lg footy at least the lads give 100%,that last night from a PL team is nothing short of shamefull, and jabba has no sense of shame or the manager,IMO even if the players don’t give **** because of the way the club is going you have to have pride in what you do on the pitch

  10. I have hated the odd manager I have played for,but once on the pitch that goes out your mind and you get stuck into the job in hand for the pride in yourself,or was I off my head ๐Ÿ˜•

  11. Now willo saying fans have right to be angry,no **** talk is cheap,he only seems to play OK when anyone but Taylor plays along side of him, wonder what that says ๐Ÿ˜†

  12. Ice – you weren’t getting paid as much as these ****ers are tho.
Shocking lack of self pride, motivation, passion and belief.
Bunch of ****s from top to bottom.

  13. Ice, you had it easy mate.. When I played, my club paid me with alcohol! ๐Ÿ˜ฏ I never stood a chance ๐Ÿ˜ฅ ๐Ÿ˜†

  14. AMF aye but they screwed you mate, gave you that four xxxx ****e that would only make you to the loo ๐Ÿ˜† ๐Ÿ˜†

  15. We are a shell of a club. Can’t argue with that…

But Pardew is so out of his. depth when it comes to dealing with technical footbal its scary.

He’s pathetic. But decent in terms of English managers.

That’s how poor English managers are.

    Players aren’t much better.

living a decade in the past all of them.

  16. Ice ๐Ÿ˜‰ True mate but I don’t drink that xxxx ****… Used to drink Emu Export but you had to be careful when drinking that stuff outside. If you spilled it on the lawn, it would leave a dead patch in it’s wake! ๐Ÿ˜ฏ ๐Ÿ˜†

  17. Santii – sorry no replying last night mate. Aye he’s been around ages for a 23yr old. He looked very good but then got a nasty injury. I think this season in Italy’s second division may have done his confidence a world of good, coz he’s scored quite frequently.

He could be a replacement for Remy if we don’t sign him permanently coz he likes playing the left channel as well. I’d rather keep Remy, but I highly doubt that will happen. But Abel could be a good signing if we ever decide to make one again.

  18. I’m still only really angry with the scum performance. Spurs match was so weird, we actually had several good chances but couldn’t make them count, and Spurs had three goals gifted to them via Krul palming them the ball. One of them was a flukey bounce and the other goal was just a worldie.

Obviously we deserved the loss and played poorly but to start with we actually weren’t that bad-I would have been far more worried if that was the case. More that once we didnt take our chances at 0-0 and went behind we just lost hope, although Santon was ****e from the start and Staylor seems to have totally unsettled our backline since he’s been brought back in.

But the club definitely seems in turmoil and without a decent chairman or DoF who can say wtf is going on. Are the suits in charge or the tracksuits?

  19. Aye Newkie I think he will be off in the Summer anyway. DeJong has 13 games to show he is up to the mark but if not that will be 3 strikers needed as Strolla will be off as well hopefully. In total we probably need six or seven in during the summer ๐Ÿ˜ฏ

  20. Lee Ryder โ€@lee_ryder ยท 28m
Alan Pardew and Lee Charnley now the two key men in securing a permanent transfer for Loic Remy . #nufc #qpr

  21. Sharpy

I find it very strange the he has even mentioned us and in the same breath as Real and Atletico Madrid. A Uruguayan playing in the Italian leagues lol.

Makes me think we have already made contact with him about a possible move and he is just trying to build a few bridges early if he ever

    Investigative journalism right there ๐Ÿ˜†

  22. Santii – I read that and that was my first thought. Why mention us at all? Maybe Carr has finally managed to stray out of France. Tough stuff them Uruguayans, even the strikers.

  23. 3hours-aye and Cisse still looks like he wants out to me. Four new strikers on top of about four other players please.

So apparently Sissoko was joking around with Spurs players after the match? Just what you want from your captain. And Santon left the stadium early after being hauled off? Classy.

Really hope Tiote is back for Villa, no way would he be happy with **** like that if he were club captain.

  24. Newkie I feel sorry for Cisse, he needs a run if games and some decent service. The bloke has scored goals wherever he has been and even on Wednesday I thought he put in a shift and was unlucky not to score. Hopefully he will be given more game time between now and the summer. I’d like to see him start, with Remy alongside.

As you say if Cisse goes the that’s four strikers we would need ๐Ÿ˜ฏ
Can’t see Ashley stumping up the money for that plus the other 3 or 4 we need to replace Cabaye, Obertan (hopefully), Marveaux, Jonas and Gosling. Major overhaul required in the summer but can’t see Ashley spending the kind of money required.
