Game On! Bournemouth v Newcastle

Game On at Dean Court
Good morning everyone! Yes that’s right, morning! Welcome to our coverage of our trip to Bournemouth.

The TV scheduling guru’s have performed a masterclass again this time by ensuring that the travelling Toon Army have an extremely early start to make sure the 359 mile journey is covered in time for a 12:45PM kick-off.

In fairness I don’t think there’s any real good time to make such a journey especially on a coach and the positive side of it is that at least NUFC fans will still have a Sunday to do their thing in. It’s up to the NUFC players to ensure that the black and white faithful can go about their business with a smile on their face by celebrating a win.

However to achieve such a thing United must be prepared to match the work ethic of a side who have ran more miles (kilometres if you prefer) than all of their respective opponents. Eddie Howe will also be looking for a result in front golf hos own fans against side that prior to kick-off at least currently sit below them.

The match preview went live yesterday and features, obviously, a preview of the match, some stats and facts, a history of the fixture along with injury news for both sides and some random thoughts. If you’ve not done so you can view it here.

The game is live on BT Sport but if you’re not going to the game and don’t have a subscription to BT Sport then I suggest you have a look at the ‘comments’ section where you may find a link or two to tide you over.

Team news will be posted as soon as I get home as I’m at work at the moment.

Howay the lads!

  1. <<<<<<<<<<<< predicts a toon win and us out the bottom 3 by the end of the day, despite what that dude above me thinks 😆

  2. They are missing players but are the home side so have that advantage, it’s tough to call. I would say we are the better side player wise but as always they have to turn up on the day. Narrow Toon win for me, we’re due one.

  3. We’ll **** it.
    1-5
    😯

…mind you I think that every week. Blind faith!! 😎

Tiote is a concern mind. He’s been a fkn liability every time he’s played. Was perfect partner for Cabaye, but since he jumped ship he’s been a shadow of his former self. Red card waiting to happen. Hopefully not today!

  4. Gini is our best & most creative player and has been wasted out wide on the left. He was through the middle for the goal and just after and that’s where he needs to be!!
Put Gouffran left to help Dummett out.

We’re hanging on here like!! Elliott is keeping us in this one.

  5. This is like watching the Scum game. Bmouth all over us as we were with Scum and we pick their pocket like scum did with us!!

Hopefully this is the horrible game but get the win

  6. Sharpy – Pardew used to get slammed for playing one centre mid out wide, and nowe we have two! I can at least understand Sissoko because his pace is awesome, but Gini is definitely wasted.

  7. Newkie – he needs to get Anita off and move Gini into the middle for me.
He could either put Gouffran left or put Cisse on up front with Mitrovic and move Perez over to the left flank.

  8. Tbh the three points is more important than playing well. The league table dictates that.

Yes it’s nice that we can and have been playing decent but sometimes it can’t be done.

  9. Man oh man oh man. What an absolute crock. Sissoko has the heart of a gerbil, Janmaat, Tiote, Anita all absolutely shocking. For a 15 million man Mitrovic is **** poor. 👿 👿 Have any of our players broken sweat apart from Perez ?

  10. Right that was a horrible first half, but a bit of perspective is needed I think. The last few games we’ve been excellent in the first half and either getting beat at half time or wondering why we had scored.
We are 0-1 up and know we can play a lot better than we just have. We’ve got away with it there, so up our game and let’s take 3 points home.

  11. **** me old floppy chops doesn’t like us at all does he 😆
Rio just making the point that we have played well last few weeks and lost and auld Arry jumped in to shoot him down

  12. Munich – we’ve been loads better the last few weeks so know we have it in us, but 3 points before the break is vital I think.
Not for those wanting rid of McClaren its not like 😕

  13. Sharpy17, 3 points are mega important today, it just boils my pinkle to see cheats like Janmaat and Sissoko just going through the motions.

  14. Munich – me too mate. Just want the 3 points first, then I’ll slaughter those *******.

This is fucking nuts this!! Where’s our composure gone here!! Get a fucking grip man!!

  15. Sorry but if we continuing playing like this we will get relegated. Yes we are winning but this is as bad as anything I ever saw under Carver.

  16. So people spend all week saying it is nice to play well but they’ll take a win by any means.

We have a chance at just that and now they’re moaning we’re playing bad.

    Any excuse to moan.
