Rafa Benitez wants his summer business finished quickly. With the new season three weeks away, time is running out to get new signings bedded into the squad before the first game of the season at Fulham.
The Chronicle quotes the Newcastle boss as being eager to get on with transfers:
“We want to sign as soon as possible. We have a plan. We already have players with Championship experience.
They know what it takes to get promotion and fight every week – and play two games a week. All we need is to bring in some players.”
