After impressing in the Belgian League, 19-year-old midfielder Victor Wanyama was believed to be a target of Newcastle’s in the summer of 2011.
Celtic won the race to sign the promising Kenyan for a fee in the region of £1m, and since Wanyama has never looked back. His performances in Scotland earned a £12.5m move to Southampton and he is now one of the top defensive midfielders in England, being an integral part of Tottenham’s midfield.
