According to some big claims from leading Stoke City page ‘Bear Pit TV’, Newcastle have accepted an offer from Stoke for Matt Ritchie – with the winger expected to sign at the Bet 365 stadium ‘next week’ after he returns from holiday.
Whilst this is yet to be confirmed, Bear Pit TV are insisting that they’ve been told this on good authority and are not the sort of fan page to share things purely based on hearsay.
Given his influence in our promotion winning season and him also being an ever present for most of last season, it would seem strange of Rafa to let him go, however there has been talk in the last few days that Ritchie’s sale could help fund moves for the likes of Townsend and Kenedy.
BREAKING: We've been informed that Matt Ritchie has agreed a contract with Stoke and Newcastle have accepted our offer. He was looking to move closer to family and will be announced once he returns from holiday in Dubai next week. #SCFC #TBPTV pic.twitter.com/q6T1wV2yQJ

It’s also worth mentioning that this is the same source that was first onto Joselu’s move from Stoke to Newcastle United, so this page has got a history of being pretty reliable.
FYI – these lads announced the signing of Joselu to #NUFC some time before written press. They don’t do stuff based on hearsay. Corresponding with the “advanced talks” on Kenedy and Townsend.

This was the last post we did from this source. We don’t like pretending we’re in ITK about everything because we’re not, just thought we would share. #SCFC #TBPTV https://t.co/7Ma2k07002
