Alan Pardew in ‘advanced talks’ over bizarre return to football management – Report

According to reports in Holland, Alan Pardew is closing in on a return to management with struggling Dutch side ADO Den Haag.

This comes from Dutch outlet AD, who claim talks between the Eredivisie club and ex-NUFC boss are ‘nearing a conclusion’, stating only ‘minor details’ are separating the two parties from reaching an agreement.

They even report that he could take his first game for the club this weekend, with them set to face Dutch Champions and Champions League runners-up Ajax on Sunday.

The former Newcastle boss – who had a spell at St James’ Park from 2010 to 2014 – has been out of management for over 18 months after being sacked by West Brom in April last year.

While any job may be better than no job for the ex-Palace man, it’s fair to say very few football fans would’ve seen this one coming!

Potential new side Den Haag currently sit second bottom in the Dutch league, picking up 13 points from their opening 17 games in the Eredivisie.
