Astonishing stats reveal how Saint-Maximin is now the PL’s most influential player – See staggering numbers here

As revealed by WhoScored.com, no Premier League player has had a greater influence on his team’s win rate this season than Allan Saint-Maximin.

When he starts our win rate has been 58.3% so far this season, a percentage that drops a staggering 50.6% to just 7.7% when he’s taken out of the side.

Our points per game without him is just 0.54 (from the 13 matches he’s not started), but that jumps to a huge average of 2 points per game when he starts:

With the above points per game rates in mind, WhoScored.com have revealed this brilliant stat – which is hypothetical but highlights just how influential the Frenchman has been:

At those points per game rates, Newcastle would be a point behind Manchester City in third if Saint-Maximin had started every game in the Premier League to this point and five points adrift at the bottom if he hadn’t played at all!

Not only do we win more and lose far less when he plats, we score almost twice as many goals per game when he starts (1.25 vs 0.69) and concede twice as a few (0.83 vs 2) too.

With season-defining games against Palace, Burnley, Southampton, Sheffield Utd, Aston Villa, Bournemouth and West Ham coming up after next Sunday’s trip to Arsenal, let’s hope the influential Frenchman can stay fit over the coming months!
