Takeover ‘exclusive’ reveals what Steve Bruce is now saying ahead of £300m Saudi deal

According to an ‘exclusive’ from the Telegraph’s Luke Edwards, Steve Bruce is fearing for his job amid the takeover rumours, and does not expect to be part of the club’s long-term vision.

This comes on the back of Sky Sports reporting earlier on Monday that Bruce will be kept on until the end of the season at least, with the owners reviewing the situation from the.

How Bruce is going to convince the new owners he is the right man for the job with the current squad is another thing, but The Telegraph believe that he already knows that his days are numbered at St James’ Park.

The piece also claims that our gaffer has reached out to Ashley for some clarity on the situation, but his pleas have all fallen on deaf ears – something that is totally disrespectful on the owners behalf.

No matter your feelings on him as a manager, for him to be left in the dark is bang out of order, but Bruce is now quickly learning what the likes of Keegan and Rafa has had to deal with before him!

The man has done a solid job. In all honesty, he has done exactly what was asked of him when brought to the club, to keep the side in the Premier League.

The least he deserves back is some clarity on his job.

  1. Prospective big stars will still have to be persuaded to come to Newcastle rather than Liverpool , Manchester or London! Unfortunately we are geographically disadvantaged in that respect!

  2. I feel sorry for him on a purely human level knowing how Ashley has treated those who have worked for him in the past.
There is the other side of the coin though where Bruce has danced with the devil and could now pay the price for his actions.
He was warned by all in sundry not to take the job because of the conditions and Ashley himself ,But chose to treat his employers at Sheff Wed like dirt !
