Ryan Fraser signs! – Official photos, first interview & full details here

Newcastle United have completed the signing of former Bournemouth winger Ryan Fraser.

The 26-year-old arrives on a free transfer after rejecting a contract offer with the Cherries earlier this summer and has signed a FIVE-year-deal at St James’ Park.

Here’s what the Scottish international has told NUFC.co.uk now his move to Tyneside has today been made official alongside former Bournemouth teammate Callum Wilson:

“I’m absolutely buzzing for it – I came down to see the place the other day and it was all just good things; the manager, the place, the fans, the messages I’ve been getting.

“It was just a no-brainer, really, to play in such a big stadium with such passionate fans, and being back up in the north again is big as well.

“So I’m really looking forward to it and I just cant wait to show everyone what I can do, help the team and help us get back to where we belong.”

It’s believed Fraser held talks with the likes of West Ham, Crystal Palace and a host of other Premier League sides, making his arrival at St James’ Park all the more sweet for Steve Bruce.

He endured a difficult 2019/20, both on and off the pitch, however it wasn’t long ago he was one of the top creators in the Premier League, with only Eden Hazard bagging more than his 15 top flight assists in 2018/19.

A brilliant bit of business from the club and terrific signing on a free agent, with him able to add pace, energy and quality to our attack.
