Sky Sports: NUFC now ‘done’ for business as Steve Bruce decides against deadline day deal

Sky Sports’ Keith Downie claims Newcastle United are now closed for incoming business ahead of the looming transfer deadline at 11pm.

With just four hours left until the window slams shut, the North-East reporter says the club are “very happy” with the deals they’ve done this summer and has revealed why Steve Bruce has decided against bringing in another centre-back today.

As explained below, he states that Bruce now feels content with his options at the back as Lascelles, Clark and Dummett are expected to return to training next week.

If Downie is to be believed, this also means we’ll see no striker arrive at St James’ Park.

Callum Wilson is our main man following his £20m move from Bournemouth, but Bruce is taking a big risk here for me.

If Wilson gets injured who steps in? Gayle is out until Christmas, Joelinton is wasted up top and not a natural striker and Carroll is yet to score since returning to the club – not to mention the fact he can’t be relied on to stay fit.

  • Callum Wilson – £20m
  • Jamal Lewis – £15m
  • Ryan Fraser – Free
  • Jeff Hendrick – Free
  • Mark Gillespie – Free

Are you happy if this what we end up with when the window shuts at 11pm?

  1. Bruce hasn’t anything to do with Transfer’s

    He’s said himself ‘I’m consulted’

Plus ‘I don’t Believe in Tactics’

The chump only believes in Crying like a girl to the press at every opportunity he gets = all last season it was ‘Ashley’s not talking to me’ and now it’s give me 10 years and I’ll win a corner!!

The numpty has to go = WE NEED A MANAGER
