VIDEO: Ryan Fraser makes it 2 goals in 4 days as he nets again in World Cup qualifier

Ryan Fraser bagged for the second time in as many games for Scotland to help his side to a rampant 4-0 win over the Faroe Islands last night.

Our minuscule midfielder headed home the last of the four from an Andy Robertson cross to give Scotland their first win of the World Cup qualifying group for Qatar 2022.

Fraser scored a crucial equaliser in midweek to salvage a point away to Israel and grabbed another against the Faroe Islands to keep his country firmly in the race for qualification out of Group F.

Watch both goals here, starting with his latest goal last night:

Here’s his fine finish over the weekend, with him drawing Scotland level in Israel on Sunday night:

Finding the net is something we are yet to see from summer signing Fraser, who has failed to notch a Premier League goal so far in a black-and-white shirt.

He has been playing on the wing for his country, which will hopefully remind Steve Bruce that his best position is NOT as a No 10 behind two split strikers – something that’s left many NUFC fans baffled in recent weeks.

If he can carry this form over from the international to club level, it would hugely increase our chances of picking up the points we need to stay in the top flight for another year.

  1. Ryan Fraser – Newcastle Star?? Are you serious?

18 league appearances – zero goals, 2 assists.
