Jose Mourinho accepts job offer ahead of 2021/22 – No Newcastle move for the ‘Little Magpie’

When Jose Mourinho was sacked by Tottenham last month, many Newcastle United fans felt it could be written in the stars for Sir Bobby’s former apprentice to find himself at St James’ Park should a takeover finally go through.

The self-confessed ‘Little Magpie’ has always talked up Newcastle United, however some Sky Sports breaking news has just revealed he’s agreed to become the new Roma manager.

As you can see below, they report that he’ll take over the Serie A sleeping giants at the start of the 2021/22, with this coming after the Europa League semi-finalists confirmed Paulo Fonseca was set to leave at the end of the season.

Here’s the breaking story emerging from Sky Sports this afternoon:

Mourinho to Newcastle was probably no more than a pipe dream for most, but there was a huge outcry for him to take over on Tyneside once he was ditched by Spurs.

Even some journalists felt it was a job he’d jump at should new owners arrive, however it looks as though his next step in football will be in Italy.
