Bruce questions NUFC star & bemoans missed chances after infuriating draw with Watford – Video

Steve Bruce has questioned Jacob Murphy’s attempt to chip the goalkeeper in the 90th minute, believing he could’ve gone around the goalkeeper instead.

Speaking after the 1-1 draw at Vicarage Road, the NUFC boss also bemoaned the number of missed chances throughout the game.

He feels the game should’ve been over at half-time, stating we were “by far” the better side but have been punished by poor finishing at one end and a lack of concentration at the other – with Almiron poor in giving away the corner and Willock switching off for Sarr’s header.

Here’s what he had to say just moments after yesterday’s draw with the Hornets:

This really is a tough one to take.

Some will say it could’ve been worse, as it looked like King had won it for Watford late on, however we had enough chances to win this by a couple but couldn’t capitalise.

After failing to beat Leeds and Watford sides way below their best, it begs the question – who are we going to beat this season?

  1. Shearer dead right in message to strikers, put your b****y foot through the ball.
Sick of seeing strikers trying to pass the ball into the net and trying to be clever with their finishing, most aren’t clever enough or skilled enough to do it.
Don’t mind seeing any player not scoring with a keeper saving it when the striker gives it a real wellie.
    England penalties another example!
