Sky footage shows Eddie Howe & staff arriving at Toon training ground at 6.55am – Video

After being officially named the new head coach of Newcastle United yesterday, Eddie Howe has been spotted at the Toon training ground for the very first time this morning.

As revealed by Sky Sports, the 43-year-old arrived at our Benton base at 6.55am – just a few hours after he and his coaching team arrived on Tyneside via private jet last night.

Keith Downie believes this is a sign of things to come for Newcastle fans, with the former Bournemouth coach known for his incredible work ethic in and around the training ground – something we’ll need if we’re to turn things around after a winless start to the season 11 games in.

Watch the clip below of Howe and his backroom staff walking through the doors at NUFC for the very first time:

Keith Downie (Sky Sports News):

A sign of things to come as Eddie Howe and his backroom staff arrive for their first day’s training at 6.55am this morning.

‘Kudos to our Sky Sports News camera man who was the other one up early too to see them arrive having flown in by private jet last night.

No holidays to Portugal for Howe, just straight to work before the sun is up to prepare for next Saturday’s huge game with Brentford at St James’ Park!

  1. He had to get in early to clear out the Greggs wrappers and Golf Portugal brochures from his office before he could get to work. If Jones had been using the office he would also need to get rid of the Big Fat Sam book of tactics as well.

  2. “No holidays to Portugal for Howe,…”
He’s just had 15 months off. Why would he need a holiday?

  3. I think we are getting desperate for news if the fact that he arrived just before 7 is worth a mention.

It’s a big positive to what has gone before, it shows a work ethic mentality and discipline rather than the leisurely stroll or should I say a sleepwalk towards relegation!
    Well done Eddie Howe!
