Following our 1-1 draw with Norwich City in midweek, Newcastle United take on Burnley in what really does feel like a must-win game at St James’ Park.
The team news has arrived ahead of the 3pm kick off, seeing us line up as follows:
STARTING 11: Dubravka – Manquillo, Lascelles, Schar, Lewis – Shelvey, Willock – Joelinton, Almiron, Saint-Maximin – Wilson (c).
SUBS: Darlow, Ritchie, Hayden, Hendrick, Krafth, Fernandez, Murphy, Gayle, Longstaff.
So, Eddie Howe has made TWO changes from Tuesday night, seeing Jamaal Lascelles and Miguel Almiron replace the suspended Ciaran Clark and absent Ryan Fraser – who is missing from the squad entirely.
Elsewhere, Federico Fernandez remains on the bench – despite impressing in midweek – while Matt Ritchie is back (in the squad) after a ban.
Paul Dummett and Elliot Anderson both miss out through injury, with the former still thought to be a few weeks away – despite being spotted back on the grass in yesterday’s training photos.
Here’s how Sean Dyche’s Burnley line up:
Burnley XI: Pope – Lowton, Tarkowski, Mee, Taylor – Gudmundsson, Westwood, Brownhill, McNeil – Wood, Cornet.
Prefer Fernandez to both centre backs
