Just yesterday, The Telegraph‘s Luke Edwards revealed that Callum Wilson had pencilled in our clash with Crystal Palace on April 20th as a potential return date.
However, barely 24 hours later, the North East reporter claims the injured striker now has an ‘outside chance’ of being involved in our next home game against Wolves on April 8th.
He accepts that this is dependant on him having no adverse reaction to training over the coming week or two, however it’s a pleasant surprise to hear he’s pushing to be back just the week after next!
This comes after Eddie Howe told NUFC.co.uk earlier today that he’d have to be “very cautious” with the 30-year-old, refusing to rush him back when he’s had issues with his achilles and calf – two ‘delicate’ areas that must be managed carefully.
Here’s what Luke Edwards has had to say, with him also responding to us on Twitter when we asked if our clash with Leicester on Sunday 17th April was the most likely return date:
Aye, my brother walks his dog past the training ground and said he saw Wilson in one to one training…
