Just yesterday, Eddie Howe released this promising update on Kieran Trippier’s injury situation:
“Kieran’s is slightly different. [It’s] a bone injury and I think, touch wood, if he can come through the early stages of coming out in his boots and then progressing quite quickly, he’s one we could see back in action hopefully pretty soon.”
So, Howe seemed hopeful he’d be back soon and Kieran Trippier himself has now added to our optimism less than 24 hours later, posting a video of him out of his protective boot, off crutches and back on the exercise bike in Dubai.
Watch the video he’s shared on his Instagram account today, which comes with the caption “Stepping training up, can’t wait to be back!”
This comes after Callum Wilson was spotted back in light training yesterday during our warm-weather camp in Dubai, with The Telegraph reporting that there’s now an ‘outside chance’ he could make our home game against Wolves on April 8th.
So, with our top scorer edging closer to a return and Trippier ‘stepping training up’ after recovering from a broken foot, it looks like two of our best players may be finally back in action over the coming weeks!
