It was another big day at the club’s Benton base yesterday, as Sven Botman and Nick Pope met their new teammates for the first time and took part in pre-season training.
The pair were also joined by the likes of Bruno Guimaraes, Kieran Trippier, Fabian Schar, Emil Krafth and Miguel Almiron, with our international players returning after being granted an extended summer break.
Following their first day back, the club have released video footage of all seven arriving at Benton, working in the gym, training on the grass and completing the dreaded beep test in front of Eddie Howe.
It’s also good to see Elliot Anderson feature in the clip, with him back from a stunning loan spell at Bristol Rovers and expected to be given game time in upcoming friendlies before Howe makes a decision on his next steps.
Here’s the seven-minute training video in full, which features a few Toon fans singing Sven Botman’s name as the big man arrived for his first day!
