Sky Sports: Newcastle launch £20m bid for Brazilian attacker – Club reject opening offer

According to some ‘breaking news’ from Sky Sports, Newcastle United have launched a £20m bid for Watford forward Joao Pedro.

This comes from Dharmesh Sheth, who’s been told in the last few moments that Watford have rejected our opening offer for the highly-rated Brazilian.

He also adds that the Hornets are determined to keep a hold of the 20-year-old after recently losing Emmanuel Dennis to Nottingham Forest, insisting that the player is ‘not for sale.’

He scored the winning goal in Watford’s opening day win over Sheffield United and is a versatile attacker who is capable of playing out wide or up top. The former Fluminense talent also found the net in last season’s 1-1 draw at St James’ Park and has started in all three of Watford’s games so far this season.

It remains to be seen if Newcastle launch a new improved bid for the youngster, as per Sky Sports News, although it seems Watford are currently very reluctant sellers and may only consider a massive bid.
