Sky Sports have confirmed that Newcastle United are keen on bringing Chelsea midfielder Conor Gallagher to St James’ Park this summer.
However, Keith Downie – Sky’s North-East correspondent – has revealed that the Blues are currently ‘unlikely’ to sanction any move for the England talent unless they bring in another midfielder of their own, with Barcelona’s Frenkie De Jong currently a target.
It seems we are facing a similar waiting game with Armando Broja, who is one of few recognised strikers left at Stamford Bridge after Romelu Lukaku and Timo Werner left for Inter Milan and RB Leipzig, respectively.
The club have also been linked with Blues wingers Callum Hudson-Odoi and Christian Pulisic over the past 24 hours, although it’s worth noting that we are only eligible to sign ONE player on loan from the same Premier League club.
With that in mind, it makes you wonder if we may pursue one of the above on a permanent deal and another on loan should the likes of Gallagher and Broja become available?
Spend some time playing. I’m interested in finding out more because I have strong views about it. Would you please provide more details to your blog post? We will all actually gain from it.
