7.27 rating sees Newcastle star named in summer signings XI alongside Man City & Arsenal trio

Nick Pope has been named in a WhoScored XI featuring the top performing summer signings so far this season.

The leading state site have recorded an average rating of 7.27 for the England international – the third highest in the team, leaving him behind only Man City’s Erling Haaland (8.20) and Arsenal’s Gabriel Jesus (7.75).

Pope has been in top form since completing a £10m move from Burnley, recording the most saves (28), highest save percentage (82%) and the joint-most clean sheets (three) alongside Man City’s Ederson and Brighton’s Robert Sanchez.

His terrific form has left many fans believing he deserves his spot in the England squad for the upcoming World Cup in November, and with Jordan Pickford out injured, Pope will have an opportunity to impress in our Nations League games in two weeks time.
