NUFC release official footage of Garang Kuol’s first interview as “excited” Eddie Howe reacts

It’s official – Newcastle United have confirmed the signing of Aussie star Garang Kuol.

This morning’s announcement revealed that the 18-year-old will arrive on Tyneside in January after the club finalised an agreement with A-League side Central Coast Mariners.

The player himself has been speaking to NUFC TV after spending time on Tyneside to complete his medical and finalise personal terms, coming across as a bright, confident and mature young man in his first interview with the club.

Kuol admits it’s a dream come true to join a Premier League club, also talking up the passion of the supporters, the “beautiful stadium” – which he’s always been impressed by from afar – and his dream to represent Australia at the World Cup after sealing a move to Newcastle.

Eddie Howe has already revealed he’s “very excited” to work with the Socceroos talent once he returns from an expected loan spell, believing the arrival of another young player with “huge potential” proves that we are building towards a bright future.

Here’s Kuol’s first words as a Newcastle United player, followed by Eddie Howe’s reaction to his arrival at this morning’s press conference:
