NUFC star now set to miss games against Man Utd, Everton & Spurs after injury setback – Report

According to The Mail’s Craig Hope, Allan Saint-Maximin has now been ruled out of our trip to Old Trafford after the winger suffered a setback with his hamstring injury that has kept him out for the last six weeks.

It is also very likely that the 25-year-old will miss upcoming games against Everton and Tottenham as we start a crucial run of three games in eight days.

Despite making his first appearance last weekend since he scored that stunning 90th-minute equaliser at Wolves, Saint-Maximin looks to have aggravated that hamstring injury – although it is not thought to be serious.

With the talented winger once again ruled out, it is likely that Jacob Murphy will make his third consecutive start after two fairly impressive performances against Fulham and Brentford, with Ryan Fraser also likely to feature over the new week.

Newcastle will go to Old Trafford looking for our first victory since 2013 and despite this major setback, Toon fans will still be confident that we have enough to take the game to Man United and come away with a result.
