Forgotten man makes brilliant Eddie Howe admission as he speaks out after summer move

Newcastle midfielder Isaac Hayden has heaped praise on Eddie Howe following a loan move to Norwich, explaining why he’s “the best” he’s ever worked with in terms of man-management.

The 27-year-old featured just four times under Howe following his appointment back in November 2021, but the loanee claimed he has “nothing but great things to say about him.”

Hayden has revealed that the boss frequently checks up on the former Arsenal man to see how he’s getting on, describing him as a “top-level coach.”

Howe has clearly been key in maintaining the positive atmosphere in every aspect around the club, with this showing how he even endeavors to keep loanees in the loop from afar.

On Howe, Hayden said: “The manager is really, really good there. He has called me probably every couple of weeks, just to see how I am and how I’m getting on. He talks about the lads back there and how they’re getting on too.

“A lot of people probably think I might not like the staff that came in because I didn’t play as much as I would’ve wished. But I have nothing but great things to say about him as a person. He’s a top-level coach; probably the best I’ve had in terms of man-management.”

Despite a lack of playing time and the arrival of Bruno Guimaraes, Hayden still has 3-and-a-half years left on his contract lasting until 2026 and the club will have a big decision to make on his future upon his return from loan.

He’s had a tough start to life at Norwich, taking time to get fit after a knee injury over the summer, but it’s good to see he’s started each of the Canaries last three games after recovering from surgery.

  1. Just when I thought we were all “clichéd” out, having had a run on “star’s”, “aces”, and “unsung heroes”, we get a revival of the old “forgotten man” article.
Just goes to show that when it comes to writing for blogs there’s nothing like originality!
And this definitely is nothing like originality.
In all honestly, I understand why Olly just grabs stuff off the internet, puts his own spin on it and publishes it. That’s what his blog is here for. It provides us with all the Toon news in one place. It’s how he makes his living.
It’s why NUFCBlog.co.UK is one of the top rated Toon blogs on the net.
But when wannabe journos write “articles” is it too much to expect something resembling originality? Is it too much to expect something better than the regurgitation of an old Chronicle article from four months ago?
