As revealed by Fabrizio Romano, Newcastle United are one of several clubs tracking Leeds United defender Cody Drameh.
He reports that Borussia Dortmund, Lille and Bayer Leverkusen are also showing interest in the 20-year-old, with all four sides believing he is a ‘talent for the future.’
Considering we spent the final days of the summer attempting to sign West Ham’s Harrison Ashby, our interest in Drameh could make sense.
The England U21 international is also a right-back and is approaching the final 18 months of his contract at Elland Road, meaning a potential January move away may be on the cards.
He’s played once in the Premier League this season, appearing in Leeds’ defeat at Brentford, and spent last season on loan with Championship side Cardiff.
The London-born full-back started in Leeds’ Carabao Cup win over Barnsley and has bagged three assists in five appearances for their U21 side; one of which came in a 4-2 win over Newcastle’s U21s last week.
Wonder if Fabrizio can beat his number of transfer tips that he made in the Summer ? He linked Newcastle to dozens and we signed …..4 players for the first team squad. Anybody remember the Joao Pedro is a done deal tweet ?
