Geordie duo Ant and Dec took a hilarious dig at the Mackems on ITV show ‘I’m a Celebrity’ just moments before Sunderland-born Jill Scott was named Queen of the jungle.
During the final of the popular TV show on Sunday night, Toon supporters Ant and Dec were quick to poke fun at the former Sunderland and England player after she took part in challenge set in outer space; saying she’ll be used to places with ‘no intelligent life and very little atmosphere!’
Scott started out at Sunderland in 2004 before going on to play for both Everton and Manchester City and more recently winning the Euro’s with the Lionesses back in June before retiring two months later.
The 35-year-old did eventually go on to win the show, beating both Matt Hancock and Owen Warner, but some Newcastle fans have taken to the comments to suggest that this is the closest Sunderland will come to a trophy!
