FA Cup draw: Newcastle set for Sheffield trip as several Premier League sides draw each other

Newcastle United will travel to Hillsborough to take on Sheffield Wednesday in the Third Round of the FA Cup.

The game will take on the weekend of Saturday, 7th January and Sunday, 8th January 2023, coming just a few days after our Premier League trip to Arsenal on Tuesday, 3rd January.

Sheffield Wednesday are currently third in League One, having missed out on promotion back to the Championship last season after finishing fourth and failing to win the play-offs.

The Third Round draw – shown live on BBC2 shortly after 7pm – also delivered ties like Man City vs Chelsea, Man Utd vs Everton, Tottenham vs Portsmouth, Dagenham vs Leicester and Oxford vs Arsenal, with several top flight sides drawing each other.
