A number of younger academy players have been pictured visiting our training ground to watch Bruno Guimaraes and other squad members train before having a kick about with some of the players.
The Brazilian, who looked very happy to be able to help out, can been seen surrounded by some excited youngsters completely in awe of Newcastle’s number 39.
It’s a brilliant photo, followed by an equally wholesome message from the man himself – “Be an inspiration to the little boys! This has always been my dream”, he said on Twitter:
Since his arrival in January, Bruno has very much bought into the experience of living in Newcastle and has quickly become a fan favourite due to his charismatic personality.
This is just yet another example of why everyone in the city loves the midfielder – it isn’t just his ability on the pitch, but he clearly cares about the local community and the impact he has on the younger generation.
Hopefully we have many more years watching and enjoying the Brazilian star and the bond between him and the fans can grow even stronger.
