The Premier League have released the nominees for a host of April awards today, with Newcastle United featuring heavily in each category.
Callum Wilson and Alexander Isak have both been nominated for the Player of the Month prize, with the former scoring an incredible eight times in seven appearances in April; breaking Alan Shearer’s record for most goals in a calendar month.
Eddie Howe is up for Manager of the Month alongside the likes of Pep Guardiola and Unai Emery – a well-deserved reward after six wins in seven games and 22 goals in that period.
Last but certainly not least, we have two Mags shortlisted for Goal of the Month. Callum Wilson features again for his curling strike past Pickford in that 4-1 win at Everton, with Jacob Murphy’s tap-in also nominated after that mesmerising assist from Alexander Isak.
