Joelinton handed first ever call-up to the Brazil squad – Official announcement

He’s done it – Joelinton has just received his first ever call-up to the Brazil national team!

Ahead of upcoming games against Guinea and Senegal (17th and 20th June), the big man has been named in Ramon Menezes’ squad in the last few moments.

He will also be joined by Toon teammate Bruno Guimaraes and former target Lucas Paqueta, with a host of other Premier League stars also selected.

A well deserved reward for the big man, who has completed one of the great turnarounds we’ve ever seen on Tyneside. From a £40m flop to driving Howe’s Mags to the top-four AND receiving a first call-up by his country.
