Newcastle official spotted at Wembley to watch £25m man & Toon eyeing Serie A duo – Report

The Mail have released an interesting update on the Toon transfer front today, offering new details on our interest in three players.

They kick off by confirming that Toon scout Mick Tait was at Wembley to watch Coventry City striker Viktor Gyokeres.

The 24-year-old has bagged 22 goals and 12 assists for the Championship side this season and looks set for a summer move after Luton beat the Sky Blues to promotion. Brentford are also interested in the Swede, who is expected to be available for around £25m.

Elsewhere, the same piece reveals that we’ve held discussions over a summer move for Torino centre-back Perr Schuurs, aware of the fact Crystal Palace are also showing ‘strong interest.’

Napoli’s Kim Min-Jae is another CB option being explored, but The Mail report that Man Utd are ‘leading the chase’ for the South Korean star; who would cost considerably more than Schuurs.

Schuurs has played alongside Sven Botman at Ajax and for the Dutch U21 side. He’s 23, stands 6ft 3′ and is a right-sided option who could compete with Fabian Schar.
