From Italy: Newcastle eyeing Euro 2020 star – €35m asking price and Liverpool also keen

According to Italian outlet Il Corriere dello Sport, Newcastle and Liverpool are among the teams interested in signing Federico Chiesa; who could leave Juventus for €35m this summer.

The winger is believed to be unhappy at the Allianz Stadium and will consider offers from other European teams with Champions League no doubt a big pulling factor.

Chiesa and Juventus have had an underwhelming 2023/23 season, with the club finishing seventh. The Italian international has struggled with injuries and played just 21 times, scoring two goals

That said, his talents are well known after an excellent Euro 2020 campaign as well as his great form in the league for both Juventus and Fiorentina prior to his injury.

It would be unlike the new-look Newcastle to spend decent money on a player some fear is one the decline, yet a fee in the region of £30m would be deemed a bargain if the pacey winger was able to rediscover his best form under Howe.
