VIDEO: Callum Wilson scores in 4-0 win for England – Ends incredible 16-year wait

Callum Wilson came off the bench to score his second ever goal for England last night, bagging from the spot in a 4-0 win over Malta.

In doing so, the Newcastle United striker became the first Mag to score a senior goal for the Three Lions since Michael Owen v Russia in September 2007, ending a quite incredible 16-year wait.

Kieran Trippier and Toon target James Maddison were in from the start in our EURO 2024 qualifier on Friday night, while our No 9 was introduced for the final 30 minutes after replacing Harry Kane.

After an Apap own goal gave England an early lead, Alexander-Arnold and Kane scored before the break before Wilson’s late spot-kick made it four. Watch the penalty below:

Another two Mags could be in action tonight, with Joelinton and Bruno Guimaraes’ Brazil taking on Guinea in Spain. Based on reports from South America, it looks like big Joe could be in line for his first ever start and full international debut.
