Newcastle target Arda Guler scored an absolute stunner for Turkey on Monday night, reminding suitors why his €17.5m release clause could make him one of the most in demand young talents this summer.
The 18-year-old netted his first ever goal for his country in their Euro 2024 Qualifying match against Wales, curling one from outside of the box into the top corner to hand Turkey a 2-0 win over Wales that left them top of Group D.
Newcastle are known to be very interested in the Fenerbahce sensation, but will have to see off competition from some of Europe’s biggest clubs, with Barcelona, Borussia Dortmund and Ajax all thought to be interested.
