Newcastle duo Sean Longstaff and Jacob Murphy have been pictured training with local team Newcastle Blue Star after returning from their summer holidays.
It looks like the pair – who were unsung heroes over the 2022/23 season – are already itching to get back on the pitch after what was an extremely successful campaign as we qualified for the Champions League.
It has been suggested that pre-season training could begin next week, but both Longstaff and Murphy were keen to get an early start by joining up with the Northern League Division Two side on Tuesday.
Newcastle Blue Star also enjoyed their own success last season after finish top of the league and will be looking to make it back-to-back promotions this year. See photos below of the pair in action:
