Newcastle have released touching tribute to the late Sir Bobby Robson on the 14th anniversary of his death, with Alan Shearer, Shola Ameobi, Shay Given and Dan Burn all discussing the legendary manager.
In the video, Shearer talks about how much of a ‘genius’ Sir Bobby was at man-management and making players from all walks of life give their all for him.
Ameobi also touches on how much of a perfectionist he was when it came to training and how dedicated he was not just to the club, but to the whole city and its people.
Dan Burn, who got his first season ticket as Sir Bobby started at Newcastle, explained how he was ‘inspired’ by the boss who made everyone feel so involved in the club.
As Given mentions, it’s a huge shame that he isn’t around to see the club back amongst Europe’s elite, but it’s safe to say he would’ve been proud of each and every one of those players who have given everything to get us here. Watch the full clip here:
