Newcastle have released a brilliant four-minute clip of Sandro Tonali’s incredible Premier League debut against Aston Villa.
While his opening goal will certainly grab all the headlines, the Italian was so impressive everywhere on the pitch as we surged to a 5-1 win, with his range of passes, build-up play, darting runs and defensive contribution all standing out.
A midfield three of Bruno Guimaraes, Joelinton and Tonali looks to be right up there with the very best, and with Longstaff, Willock and Anderson on the bench, our depth looks better than ever.

If these performances do continue, there’s a strong case to say that £55m was ultimately a bargain for the midfielder, especially when we see the likes of Moises Caicedo (£115m) costing over double what we paid to AC Milan.
Have to admit – I thought he’d get an introductory finishing 20 minutes at best.
