As reported by TEAMtalk, Newcastle are monitoring the situation of Pyramids FC winger Ibrahim Adel; the Egyptian sensation backed to seal a big move to the Premier League.
Newcastle are believed to be one of several Premier League clubs keeping an eye on the 22-year-old, who is highly-rated in his native country.
According to the report, Rangers had tried and failed to sign the 22-year-old this summer, and now there’s expected to be even more competition for his signature heading into the January window.
Newcastle, Brighton, Aston Villa, West Ham, Burnley and other European sides are said to be keen on the versatile winger who can play down either flank or up front.
The attacker represented Egypt at the Olympics in 2021 and has made four appearances for his country at senior level.
He could be a hidden gem Dan Ashworth has identified – something he did so often at Brighton – but I suspect the next winger that arrives at St James’ Park will be a proven, out-and-out right winger who can provide an upgrade on Miguel Almiron.
