New Saudi deal goes public as Newcastle reach agreement – Another boost for 2024 budget?

Newcastle United are set to announce Saudi Airlines as the club’s official airline sponsor.

Back in November last year, the brand new airline – commonly known as Saudia – were named our official tour airline partner for the remainder of the 2022/23 season, with this coming before our mid-season trip to Riyadh in December 2022.

Fast forward several months, the Middle East company posted a telling tweet this morning, featuring a ‘Stay Tooned’ tagline which featured an outline of St James’ Park in the background.

Some wondered if this would be a new training kit sponsor or centred around naming rights at SJP or the club’s training ground, but The Mail’s Craig Hope has confirmed that the Jeddah-based giants will now become our official airline partners.

The deal is set to be announced imminently by Newcastle United, seeing our partnership continue after last season’s agreement. The details of the deal are not yet clear, but this is another sponsor that promises to boost Newcastle’s commercial revenues heading into the January and summer transfer windows in 2024.

  1. Come on Olly – get a grip.
We’ve got Saudi Airlines, which has been the national carrier of Saudi Arabia for 80 years, and we’ve got Riyadh Air, the BRAND NEW airline that has been put together with the aim of taking on Emirates and Etihad.

    Which one is sponsoring us?
