Watch Newcastle loanee score 95th minute winner – Confirms exit plans after heroic goal

Newcastle loanee Ryan Fraser scored a last minute winner for Southampton, recording his first goal since signing for the Saints back in the summer.

After falling out with Eddie Howe for a second time, the winger was forced to train with our Under-21s and subsequently encouraged to find a new club.

Southampton had been drawing 1-1 away to Hull before Fraser – who was brought on with six minutes to go – scored a 95th minute winner to send his new club into the play-off spots in 5th.

After the game, he was buzzing in his post-match interview, saying he’s “loving football again” and is “hoping to stay” at the end of the season; when his Newcastle contract expires. Watch his late winner below, followed by his post-match interview:

Who knows what happened between Fraser and Howe. Either way, it’s clear he won’t kick a ball for Newcastle again, with the Scottish international set to leave on a free transfer once his Southampton loan expires at the end of the season.
