Jamie Reuben, Bruno Guimaraes and Kieran Trippier have all reacted to last night’s defeat to Everton, where the Toffees scored three late goals to seal a 3-0 win at Goodison Park.
Starting with Reuben, our co-owner admits it was a ‘tough match’ after ‘so many games and injuries’, but insists the squad ‘will bounce back’ before thanking the fans for their ongoing support after a midweek trip to Merseyside.
Bruno said ‘we stick together in the bad and the good moments’ after a ‘very bad day at the office’ and Trippier has apologised for his late errors, taking ‘full responsibility’ for Everton’s opening two goals.
Here’s what all three had to say after the match, with Trippier now fully focused on bouncing back at Spurs on Sunday:
Jamie Reuben – ‘Tough match tonight especially after so many games/injuries – we will bounce back. Thank you to our supporters for making the journey and for your support.’
Bruno Guimaraes – ‘Very bad day in the office today! We stick together in the bad and the good moments! Always for you @NUFC.’
Kieran Trippier – “I don’t hide. I take full responsibility for the first two goals. There isn’t really an easy explanation as to why it happened. I’m very disappointed with my own actions in certain points of the game, but I’ll deal with that.
“I hold my hands up and take responsibility. Now it’s just about getting back on the bike again in three days’ time against Spurs.”
