Eddie Howe has been speaking to the media this morning, giving his final pre-Christmas press conference before tomorrow’s 3pm kick-off at Kenilworth Road.
He’s revealed that Alexander Isak is ’50-50′ for Luton after missing our last two to protect his groin. Anthony Gordon and Emil Krafth will both be assessed this morning after awful tackles from Moises Caicedo and Levi Colwill at Chelsea, with Krafth considered more of a doubt due to the stitches he’s required.
The scan results show Joelinton injury (hamstring) is slightly worse than Fabian Schar’s (glute), but neither are ‘too serious’ and a decision will be made on both, suggesting they won’t be out for long if they do miss the trip to Luton.
Finally, Sven Botman is looking ‘really good’, with the club happy with how he’s come through appearances against Fulham and Chelsea. Here’s what Howe’s had to say on all of the above:
“We’re going to see how they are this morning. Anthony was sore, it was a horrible challenge on him I thought, reviewing it. Really disappointed with the challenge. Hopefully, he improves quickly.
“Emil had a deep cut on his shin but he’s had stitches and was sore. Alex (Isak( is 50-50.
“They (the scans) showed nothing too serious with either (Joelinton or Schar). Maybe Joe’s slightly more than Fabby. We’ll make a decision on both players in the build-up to this game. Is
Sven’s good. Another one we’ll assess today but very pleased with his return. He’s looked strong, he’s looked comfortable, but he’s looked really good so far.”
