TEAM NEWS: Trippier, Schar and Burn start vs Luton – Isak in the squad & Joelinton out

The team sheets are in ahead of Newcastle’s 3pm kick-off at Kenilworth Road, where Eddie Howe’s Mags take on Luton Town in our final game before Christmas.

STARTING 11: Dubravka – Trippier, Lascelles, Schar, Burn – Miley, Guimaraes, Longstaff – Almrion, Wilson, Gordon.

SUBS: Karius, Dummett, Botman, Ritchie, Isak, Krafth, Hall, Livramento, A Murphy.

Howe has made THREE changes from Tuesday’s cup defeat at Chelsea, where Kieran Trippier, Fabian Schar and Dan Burn replace Emil Krafth, Sven Botman and Tino Livramento.

Alexander Isak and Sven Botman are both on the bench and it’s great to see Schar recover from a glute injury picked up in our 3-0 win over Fulham, but a shame to see Joelinton miss out entirely.

Anthony Gordon’s involvement from the start is also great news, showing he’s recovered from that nasty tackle in midweek from Moises Caicedo.

LUTON XI: Kaminski – Mengi, Osho, Bell – Kaboré, Lokonga, Barkley, Doughty – Townsend, Adebayo, Brown

Howay the lads!
