Newcastle United trio Joelinton, Sean Longstaff and Jamaal Lascelles are at risk of suspension ahead of today’s Boxing Day clash with Nottingham Forest.
Should any of them receive their fifth booking of the season in the 12.30pm kick-off at St James’ Park, they’ll miss our trip to Liverpool on New Year’s Day.
Thankfully, the 5-yellow suspension period is wiped after the Forest game (our 19th match of the league season), with the suspension rule then shifting to a two-game ban for anyone who picks up 10 yellows before our 32nd game.
