Botman, Isak & Gordon start vs Nottingham Forest – Team news from St James’ Park

The teams are in ahead of today’s 12.30pm kick-off at St James’ Park, where Newcastle United take on Nottingham Forest.

Here’s the side Eddie Howe has gone with:

STARTING 11: Dubravka – Trippier, Schar, Botman, Burn- Miley, Bruno, Longstaff – Almiron, Isak, Gordon.

SUBS: Karius, Hall, Murphy, Livramento, Dummett, Joelinton, Wilson, Ritchie, Krafth.

There’s a few big guns back in the starting 11, with Sven Botman in for his first start in three months, Alexander Isak replacing Callum Wilson up top and Joelinton back on the bench. Anthony Gordon is also OK to go again, despite a few knocks over the past few games.

Jamaal Lascelles misses out after limping off at Luton and Fabian Schar continues, with Kieran Trippier keeping his place and Dan Burn continuing down the left, keeping Livramento on the bench.

Forest XI: Turner – Montiel, Niakhaté, Murillo, Aina – Sangaré, Danilo – Hudson-Odoi, Gibbs-White, Elanga – Wood

A huge game after a tough few weeks for the team. Let’s hope we can respond to recent disappointment and get a big three points to get us back on track in the Premier League.

HOWAY THE LADS!
