Pope theory, Tonali boost, positives from Forest & Bournemouth preview – New podcast!

The NUFC Blogcast is back for another week, where me and Ed look back at Saturday’s 3-2 win over Nottingham Forest and preview this weekend’s game with Bournemouth at St James’ Park (Listen here or press play the play button below).

We run through the positives and negatives from another chaotic game involving Eddie Howe’s entertainers, discussing Bruno’s moments of class, Burn’s latest lapse at left-back, Barnes’ smart cameo and Gordon’s miraculous recovery from injury!
I also look at Nick Pope’s absence and how his sweeper-keeper qualities have unsettled our back line, with Martin Dubravka tendency to be caught in no man’s land noticeable again on Saturday.
We also run through the results elsewhere over the weekend and what they mean for the Premier League table, along with our poll of the week, Twitter questions and preview of Saturday’s 3pm clash with Bournemouth; who arrive out of form but with plenty of goal threat.
As ever, we then end with an FYI Man quiz question, as Ed tests me on this week’s mystery Mag. Give it a listen!
