Game on! Blackpool v Newcastle.

Stop this man. Stop Blackpool.
It’s ‘Game On’ again as Newcastle take on Blackpool at their humble Bloomfield Road ground.

Sentiment should pretty low on the agenda as the media darlings of the moment struggle to stave off relegation. No end of tired cliche sayings have been trotted out this season. ‘Living the dream’ and ‘little old Blackpool’ are a couple that immediately spring to mind. Newcastle must rise above that this afternoon however and should be focussed on shattering the tangerine dream a little bit more in this 3pm kick-off.

Not a lot has changed with with regard to team news since I wrote the match preview yesterday, and you can see the proper team news at the very bottom of this article as and when it becomes available.

The match will not be broadcast live here in the UK, but a fair few overseas channels seem to be broadcasting it so I live in hope for a decent and reliable stream. Once again, if you stumble across one then don’t be shy and share it with the rest of us. We’re all in it together remember.

The away end is sold out as all 2,100 tickets got snapped up by Toon fans eager to make the most of the Easter break, although I’d guess that there will be quite a few more in and around Blackpool enjoying the game and the atmosphere around the town. Hopefully the lads can pull out a result to make the trip just that bit better.

So that’s about it really, and it really is Game On!

Team news…

  1. They are ripping us apart down our right.

Simmo fans do you still have undoubted faith in him for next season.

  4. Toby-Simpson has made several good challenges and defended well in the box, stopping several goal scoring oppertunities.

More Sunderland woe – Gyan chases a long ball downfield and he’s pulled up with a hamstring. Their best player, crocked.

    😯

Did someone put a curse on the Mackems. 😈

  7. An away point is a good point, deserved or not. There hasn’t been many points we’ve got this season that we havn’t deserved, so I’ll take this undeserved one ta very much 😉

  8. Totally and utterly underwhelmed with that. In fact I was disgusted with the lack of effort.
