This bad-assed ***** was pictured holding a gun in a story that was printed rather visibly in The Sun this morning. The club say that Ranger has confirmed that the firearm in question was a replica and was not a live gun. Utterly and hopelessly irrelevant in my opinion, even though it is apparently not illegal to own a replica gun.
This latest escapade further exacerbates Ranger’s “gangstaaaaa” reputation init blood and was no doubt a riot between him and his crew who took the photo while he was in his crib, most probably chilling before a night on da Gin’n Juice. Brap. Safe!
However there is a real serious issue at hand here. As I said earlier, I don’t really care if the gun was real or not. It was a stupid thing to do as he should know that he has a responsibility to act with a bit of maturity. Posing like a tosspot with a pistol that looks real is not acting maturely in my book.
People will say that Ranger is young, naive and mistakes will happen. True, but there are mistakes and there are huge mistakes. This is the latter. I don’t hear of Shane Ferguson ripping into work and busting caps in asses. In fact I very rarely hear about any of the other NUFC kids misbehaving. It’s just Ranger.
He is 20-years-old now, which is old enough to know better in my book. He is living a very privileged lifestyle that all of us would no doubt die to have but will probably never see in our lifetime, yet Ranger continues to act the bellend.
He cocked up big style with this one and I hope he is reprimanded by the club accordingly The striker claims to regret having the photo taken, but it’s easy, almost too easy, to avoid – don’t put yourself in that position in the first place!
No doubt some do-gooder will pop up and say that we don’t know whether or not the gun is real or not. Let me ask you this; if somebody pointed one of them in your face would you still be so blase about it? I know I wouldn’t! I’d probably need the toilet.
Guns rip peoples lives apart, and Ranger posing with one sends out the wrong message entirely. In an era in which gun crime is being targeted and has become less “fashionable” (if it ever really was in the first place), Ranger has only served to glamourise and publicise firearms.
The ironic thing is that it’s shooting practice he so desperately needs. Unfortunately not this kind of shooting practice though.

He needs to change, I’ve always defended him but holding a gun (like you said toonsy fake or not) he can’t be doing that. Pardew said he was late a couple of times and people made him out to be some sort of scum bag which annoyed me, however being pictured with a gun should result in some sort of fine. Saying that other footballers have done worse e.g. Barton and Gerrard are just two that have been done for assault before.
Sending him out on a season long loan next season could do him the world of good in my opinion.

I think you’ve got the balance about right there. He deserves to be seriously hauled over the coals and told in no uncertain terms that he’s out if he doesn’t keep his nose clean. But unlike some previous posters I don’t think this is an arrestable offence nor grounds for dismissal. It’s just yet more **** he’s made forhimself when trying to claim a starting place or any credibility with… well, anyone, really.

I don’t seem to find it as big a deal as most but perhaps its because I’m a similar age to Ranger? I don’t know, I wouldn’t say i’m a mong/immature and Ranger is obviously in the wrong here, this along with his attitude is getting tiresome and he needs to stop putting himself in the wrong. But even so….sell him or boot him just for this?
As has been pointed out, its a toy gun, he hasn’t beaten the **** into anyone, raped anyone, nor f*cked around in his family life, so for a footballer he’s not done too much wrong. Batty-yeah that’s my gripe with him as well really. He does seem to be getting his head down but maybe I’m wrong. I don’t think he has the right attitude to play for us at the moment, that’s the main reason why he is on the bench all the time.

Following on from me saying earlier that I had seen a old pic of him with a rep but the pic in question is a new one to me.
Yes he is a **** and he is thick as **** but I dont think its the crime of the century as Moreno says a lot of older players have done worse including A Ole shooting someone with an air rifle, Judas Carroll beating a girl and breaking a team-mates Jaw and I can remember very few people on here kicked up **** about that.

Looking at the picture, I’d say it has been Photoshopped. Notice the dark lines on both sides of his arm. The sun cannot do that. Nor can a cell-phone camera. The picture has been enhanced. maybe even a bigger gun added to make it look worse than it is.
Could all this be resentment that it was Ranger who has the brains to follow instructions and flick the ball back to Taylor. AP has stated he has set plays, but only a few lads ever follow the steps. That goal looked entirely planned. So hats off to Raylor, Ranger and Saylor for carrying out AP instructions.
