Game on! Norwich v Newcastle – Simpson and Perch start at the heart of defence

Magpies take on Canaries
Welcome one and all to our ‘Game on’ article which will take us through every twist and turn of the game this afternoon as the Magpies fly to Carrow Road to do battle with the Canaries.

Of course this will be a rather depleted Newcastle side that is tasked with facing the Premier League new boys of Norwich City. As Shamrock points out in his match preview, things are looking less that ideal when you consider our injury list.

However let’s not get too down about it. We can still get a result at Carrow Road although admittedly it would be easier with a fully fit squad to choose from. It’s not to be though and I guess we just have to make the best of what we’ve got and hope those that come into the fold can do the job for us.

As far as stats go you can peruse a wide range of them in the previously linked match preview, or you can have a look at more stats and fact aswell as some chalkboards and other fancy stuff here. I suggest you give both a look if you haven’t already done so as they both contain some really interesting thoughts and analysis of the game today.

If you’re looking for a link, the good news is that there are quite a few overseas TV stations broadcasting the match so the chances of picking up a decent one are fair to moderate. Of course you never quite know until the time and it makes it easier if we all pull together and share any decent links we come across on our cyber travels.

That just about wrap this up and it’s over to Carrow Road where Newcastle will be looking to bounce back from a run of three games without a win against a tricky customer in Paul Lambert’s Norwich City.

Howay the lads!

  1. poor from Gosling. He’s cost us dear. Sensed a way back for us before that. An assist and a red card, you *****!

  2. Well i’ve been watching this game for 5 minutes. Have we forgotten how to pass? Gosling effing useless and Obertan is a headless chicken.

  3. AOD @223 – You;re a c*nt 😉

    That better? 🙂

Can’t stand people who use NUFC losing as an “I told you so”. It’s like certain people have been waiting for it to happen 🙄

Hope Pardew swallows his pride and calls up Kadar after this shambles. Could see this coming a mile off!

Here’s another *** who thinks he knows better than Pards after a couple of bad results! 🙄

  5. Lets not all start hammering the team. A load of injurys and its a hard game away to anyone in the premiership.

Be expecting 3 points next week tho. Howay the lads.

  6. And now we’ve got no central midfielders until Tiote is fit, / made available. 😐 3 defeats in four. Goodbye top spots.

  7. Midfield is very light now- no Gosling, Tiote or Guthrie next week. It’s getting to the point where Smith might get a bloody game.

Who cares about the top spots. Our aim at the start of the season was a top 10 finish. Easily achieving that even if we have a bad xmas. Got a good chance to win next week. Today was never going to be easy.

  9. Honestly I really hate how fickle some of you lot are. The other week Pardew was king, the team were world beaters and everything was rosy.

I’m surprised no one has called for Pardews head.

  10. DJG @ 266 aye I have seen him play more recent than I have seen Kadar.

So when did you watch Kadar ?????

TC some would be well suited on the Pard hate club that Wanky runs

  13. We never came fro the win today. We could score the goals but we are only attacking when we go behind.

  14. Welcome TRW 🙂

Sounds obvious but we need to keep possession and put pressure on them, both teams look weak when pressure is applied…
